Amanda Bossard was just out of high school when she started her marine biology education at Alaska PacificUniversity in Anchorage. Bossard started her career in commercial seafood at the age of 1999, after she began working as a crew member on the F/V Sunset 65' halibut schooner that has been a to salmon tender with Murat Aritan, an commercial fisherman from 1993. Bossard, who is engaged to Aritan she has joined alliance to gain access to their businesses. They both believe in conservation and profiting from renewable resources in the industry of seafood. Otolith was established in Philadelphia through Bella Bossard and is currently mom to two boys with ages of 3 and 1 Bossard. She and her husband are separated by five months, and more for her to focus on her financial goals and environmental concerns. Bossard as well as Isabella as well as Andre (ages 10 and 12 respectively) are back each year, from July to August and continue to Southeast Alaska for the summer catch from wild salmon.
